Step by Step

Here are two of our teenagers learning to put on their shoes independently.  For parents, every step toward independence is a step toward a better tomorrow for their child.  When our professional staff plan and create opportunities to develop these new skills, it takes a tremendous burden off of the shoulders of their parents.  And sometimes in unexpected ways. In the above photo, it is Jia Jia's grandmother who is assisting Yao Yao in learning to put on her shoes.  So in addition to assistance from our staff, other caregivers are more than willing to "get in the game" and help children they are not related to by blood make progress. This is Family Partners Program math.  Love multiplies in such a way that recipients of care quickly and naturally become care providers.  #DoTheMath [caption id="attachment_8485" align="alignnone" width="844"] Jia Jia's grandmother assisting Yao Yao[/caption] [caption id="attachment_8486" align="alignnone" width="768"] Zhou Le's mother assisting her[/caption]
